Quality and environment
Every assignment comes with its own specific quality requirements. At its core, this is about having access to clear procedures, systems, and technology. Above all, however, it is about strong commitment and engagement throughout the entire organisation. Under Bilfrakts långa och traditionsrika historia har vi lagt stor vikt vid att bygga upp ett gott anseende både internt bland våra medarbetare och externt hos kunder, partners och delägare. Pålitlighet, hög moral, god etik och trevligt bemötande i alla situationer är våra ledstjärnor. Kvalitets- och miljöarbetet inom Bilfrakt är tredjepartsgranskat av Svensk certifiering och utgår från standarderna ISO 9001:2015 och ISO 14001:2025.
Sustainability and environmental responsibility
Sustainable development means maintaining the long-term productive capacity of water, soil, and other ecosystems, while reducing negative impacts on nature and human health. Sustainable business is about ensuring that environmental, social, and governance factors work together in a balanced and long-term way. At Bilfrakt, sustainability has long been a core focus, and may be one of the reasons we remain the leading provider of machinery, transport, and logistics services in Västerbotten.
We are part of the Umeå Climate Roadmap, which sets out key areas and actions to reduce climate emissions in Umeå. Through this commitment, we work together with other stakeholders to accelerate the climate transition in line with the Paris Agreement and contribute to a long-term sustainable society in accordance with the UN Agenda 2030.
Our goal is to continuously increase the share of vehicles with higher environmental classifications in our operations each year. We actively reduce CO₂ and regulated emissions through ongoing technological development. In many construction assignments, HVO100 or electricity is used as fuel, and our ambition is for our owned fleet to be fully fossil-free by 2027. We also implement energy-efficiency measures in our facilities and work with recycling and material recovery to reduce the use of virgin resources.
Quality, management and customer focus
Bilfrakt operates an implemented and third-party audited management system that meets the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. The system provides a clear structure for how our processes are conducted, based on shared values and established procedures that are particularly important in times of change.

Our ambition is for every assignment to result in a satisfied customer. We aim to be responsive, flexible, and solution-oriented from first contact through to completion. At Bilfrakt, we are a team working to grow stronger together. The organisation also offers extensive logistics and construction capacity, with hundreds of machines and vehicles in operation, including an increasing share of electrified heavy-duty vehicles.
Road safety
Bilfrakt aims to be a role model in traffic by minimising risks and preventing damage. All assignments carried out on behalf of Bilfrakt must comply with our road safety policy. We actively inform and train our drivers and employees in road safety, and our transport planners always ensure that assignments are planned with sufficient flexibility to adapt driving to prevailing conditions. Vehicles are also subject to regular self-inspections to ensure they remain in a safe and roadworthy condition.
The use of seatbelts while driving is considered mandatory, and the use of mobile phones while driving is prohibited unless a hands-free system is used.
Drivers are subject to regular health and vision examinations, and we maintain zero tolerance for alcohol and drugs at all workplaces. To ensure that our drivers are always fit to drive, we require that all equipment commissioned after 2018 is equipped with alcohol interlock systems approved under European and Swedish standards. This requirement also applies to vehicles and machinery regularly contracted by Bilfrakt for external assignments.
Client responsibility
Transportation of goods needs to comply with what is stated in this section. By transporting goods (“The Order”) or otherwise fulfilling the order, you (“The Transporter”) are also accepting the following terms of service.
The Transporter is required to ensure that all the necessary permits are in order at the specific time to be allowed to carry out The Order in accordance with legislation and ruling. This includes, but is not limited to, valid permit to conduct transportation business in accordance with The Professional Transport Act (2012:210), community license in accordance with regulation (EG) number 1071/2009, and that The Transporter always comply with rules and regulations regarding cabotage in accordance with regulation (EG) number 1072/2009.
The Transporter agrees to undertake all responsibilities regarding any damages (loss of goods, damages because of sanctions, fines or other damages) that Bilfrakt suffers, as due to The Transporter not fully complying with what is stated in this section.
We revise our Transporters regularly to guarantee that all the necessary permits are in order.
